Welcome to Lady Warriors Volleyball!!!

Congratulations and welcome to the Westwood High School Lady Warriors Volleyball program!

On Thursday, August 4, please join us at 7:00 p.m. in the Westwood Fieldhouse (gym) for your first official parent event of the 2016 season: Warrior Night!  At this mandatory meeting, we will introduce your Lady Warrior Volleyball teams and coaches, collect data, sign up volunteers, share important information, sell t-shirts and other spirit items, have dessert, collect season fees, and did we say sign up volunteers? 

BEFORE Warrior Night, please visit the Lady Warrior Booster Club website (http://ladywarriorvolleyball.ch2v.com/).  This site hosts all of the information you will need for the season.  If you are new to the program, create an ID for the site.  If you did this last year, your login information is still the same.  Go to "My Account," and add or update your contact information.  This information helps our team parents put together a contact roster for each team. 

There are a total of FOUR volunteer requirements for the 2016 Season.
  1. Booster Committee: Each family is required to sign up for one Booster Committee Position. At the top of the Booster Website, you will see tabs for "Home," "Committees," "Volunteer," and "Warrior Night." If you haven't already signed up to help with a committee, please visit that page to see all the open committee positions and descriptions. You can sign up for a Booster Committee at Warrior Night or prior to; it is a first-come, first-serve sign-up.
  2. Game Day Shifts: Each family is responsible for filling three volunteer slots during home games.  You may sign up under the "Volunteer" tab to help sell concessions or to work at the score table (instruction will be available at Warrior Night).  Please sign up for a slot that has your daughter's team listed, this ensures you are not working when your athlete is playing.
  3. Westwood Showcase: The WHS Freshman and JV White teams host the prestigious Westwood Showcase Tournament, August 11-13. This tournament includes teams from around the state, and is THE major fundraiser for the Lady Warriors Volleyball Program. Each Freshman and JV White family must volunteer for a total of 9 hours (3 shifts). This year JV Orange will play in the tournament, but JV Orange parent volunteers are still needed to sign-up for 2 shift at CVMS. Some jobs require adult supervision and are noted as such.
  4. Showcase Hospitality: ALL families must sign up to provide two hospitality food items over the Showcase Tournament weekend. Varsity families should sign-up for food items at Westwood and JV Orange families should sign-up for food items at CVMS, these are the teams' respective playing sites for the weekend.

Under the "Warrior Night" link, you will find everything you need to print, complete and bring with you to the Westwood Fieldhouse on Thursday, August 4th (7:00 p.m.).  Please do not forget to bring your checkbook or credit card (there will be a 3% service fee for using a credit card).

These items must be turned in during checkout, at teh end of Warrior Night: 
  • Read the Player Handbook, print the last page, sign it, and turn it into your coach.
  • Game day meal options, print and bring the form with you (optional).
  • 2015 Westwood Volleyball Booster Club Purchase Form, print and fill out--includes all of the items available for purchase during the season, including Booster Club dues, season and Dig for the Cure t-shirts, yard signs, game day meals, Family Sponsorships and Varsity-only fees (hotel for out-of-town tournament, player photo cutouts for gym, etc.).  
Required gear includes at least one orange and one black practice shirt, as well as black spandex (Varsity and JV Orange are required to have Nike brand spandex), black kneepads, black crew socks, and mostly black shoes. The team store will open through Sunday August 7th. 
 
Erin Lee Photography will be taking the team photos on Friday, August 5th, at 8:00 a.m.  Order forms (provided with the welcome letter) are due on picture day, and payment is due to the photographer at the time pictures are taken.  This is an optional expense.  No late forms will be accepted. Erin will be at Warrior Night to answer any questions. 
 

Corporate and Family Sponsorships are a great way to support the Booster Club.  Corporate Sponsorships are available at three levels ($500+, $250-$499, and $100-$249); Family Sponsorships are also available at three levels ($100+, $50-$99, and $25-$49).
